Product Description
Zebra hosepipe is a simple, affordable hose. It has a striped pattern. That makes it easy to see in grass or on dark soil. You are less likely to run over it with a tractor.
The hose is lightweight. You can carry a long length with one hand. It coils easily for storage.
Where to Use It
Watering a garden. Connect it to a tap or a small pump. Walk down the rows with a spray nozzle.
Transferring water from a tank to a barrel. Use the hose as a siphon or a gravity feed.
Filling a sprayer or a watering can. Keep a short length of hose at your water source.
In a greenhouse, use zebra hose to water individual benches or trays.
It is not for high pressure. Use it for low pressure applications only. Up to about 2 or 3 bar (30 to 45 PSI).
Installation
Cut the hose with a sharp knife. A clean cut makes a better seal.
Push the hose onto a barbed fitting. For 1/2 inch and 1 inch, use a hose clamp. Our Steel Clamp Jubilee Type works. For 1/4 inch, friction fit may be enough.
Do not use glue. Glue can harden the hose and make it crack.
Durability
This is a general purpose hose. It is not as tough as reinforced hose. Do not drag it over sharp rocks. Do not leave it in the sun for long periods.
Store it indoors when not in use. Coil it loosely. Do not kink it. A kinked hose can split over time.
