Where It Goes
In a drip irrigation system, each lateral line (the tube that runs along a row of plants) must have a sealed end.
The 16mm manual endcap pushes onto the cut end of the tube and blocks it. Water then only exits through the emitters along the line, not out the end.
Installation
Cut the tubing end square. If the tubing is stiff, soften it by leaving it in the sun for a few minutes or dipping the end in hot water.
Push the end cap firmly over the tubing until it seats fully. No glue, no clamps. To remove, twist and pull.
Pressure Rating
The end cap works at pressures from 0 to 50 PSI (about 0 to 3.5 bar). Within this range, the push-fit connection stays sealed.
Note on Leaks
If the connection leaks, wrap a few turns of PTFE tape around the tubing before pushing the cap on. This can seal small gaps.
