Product Description
What It Does
A straight coupling does one simple job. It joins two rain hoses together. You push each hose into the coupling, or screw them in depending on the design. The result is a single longer hose.
No water leaks at the join if you install it correctly. The coupling keeps your irrigation system running smoothly.
When You Need It
Your roll of rain hose runs out before you reach the end of your field. Use a coupling to attach a new roll. Keep going.
A hoe or a tool cuts your hose. Cut out the damaged section. Use a coupling to join the two good ends. The repair takes one minute.
You have several short leftover hoses from previous seasons. Join them together with couplings. Turn scrap into a usable line. This saves you money.
Installation
If the coupling has barbed ends, warm the hose ends in the sun. Soft hose is easier to push. Push each hose onto the barbs until it covers all ridges. That is about 15mm.
If the coupling has threaded ends, wrap PTFE tape on the hose threads. Five turns. Screw them in.
To disconnect, twist and pull. The coupling can be reused many times.
