Product Description
What a Reducing Tee Does
A reducing tee connects three pipes where the branch is smaller than the main run. The two ports in line are the same size; the side outlet is smaller.
This allows a farmer to take a smaller lateral off a larger mainline without using extra bushings or reducing couplings.
Where It Saves Work on the Farm
In drip irrigation, a reducing tee lets you run a large mainline through a field and branch off smaller laterals at each row. The fitting keeps the pipe run straight while reducing down to the lateral size at the branch point.
It also appears in sprinkler systems where a large supply pipe feeds smaller risers, and in manifold assemblies where different zone sizes connect to a single feed.

Installation
Cut pipes square and remove burrs.
Dry‑fit to confirm orientation; the branch is the smaller socket.
Apply PVC solvent cement to both the pipe ends and the inside of the tee sockets. For larger sizes, use a high‑bodied glue like ERA L‑5023.
Insert the main run pipes first, making sure they seat fully. Then insert the branch pipe.
Hold each joint for a few seconds. Allow at least 15 minutes of cure time before pressurizing.
