Product Description
How It Bridges Pipe and Equipment
A male adaptor is the fitting used when a PVC pipe needs to connect to a component with a female threaded inlet. The plain end glues directly to the pipe using PVC solvent cement. The threaded end screws into the female port of a valve, sprinkler, filter, pump, or other threaded fitting.
This combination gives a reliable, removable connection point in a permanent PVC pipe system.
Where Farmers Use It
In drip irrigation, male adaptors often connect the mainline to the valve manifold. In sprinkler systems, they attach risers to pop‑up sprinklers or rain guns.
They also appear at water tanks, pumps, and any point where a threaded equipment connection meets a glued PVC pipe.

Installation Tips
Glue the socket end to the PVC pipe using PVC solvent cement (high‑bodied ERA L‑5023 for larger sizes, medium‑bodied ERA 3011 for smaller).
Wrap the male threads with PTFE tape or apply a thread sealant before screwing into the female fitting.
Hand-tighten plus one or two turns with a wrench; over-tightening can crack the fitting. The adaptor is designed for cold water irrigation applications, so avoid exposing it to high temperatures.
