The smart vertical garden is for farmers with limited space. If you have a balcony, a small backyard, a courtyard, or a rooftop, this turns that space into a productive kitchen garden.
Instead of spreading out across the ground, it stacks upward. Six tiers sit one above the other. Each tier has planting pockets around its circumference. The largest tier is at the bottom, 13 feet around. The smallest is at the top, 4 feet around. The shape tapers upward. That lets sunlight reach the lower tiers.
How Many Plants
The garden holds up to 100 plants. That is a lot of kales, spinach, or herbs in a very small footprint. You can feed a family from one unit.
What It Is Made Of
The material is HDPE plastic. High density polyethylene. It is recycled, so it is good for the environment. It is also UV treated. That means it does not crack or fade in the sun. It lasts outdoors for years.
What You Can Grow
Vegetables: kales, spinach, traditional African vegetables like managu, terere, and saga.
Herbs: mint, rosemary, coriander, basil, chives.
Others: strawberries, spring onions, lettuce.
The planting pockets are sized for these crops. They are easy to reach for planting, watering, and harvesting.
Assembly
The garden comes as a flat pack. You get six HDPE tiers, bolts, nuts, and plastic washers.
