Product Description

Why Trellising Matters

When climbing crops like tomatoes or cucumbers are left on the ground, they are more likely to rot, catch diseases, and produce less fruit. A trellis system keeps the plants upright.

The twine ties the main stems to the trellis structure, allowing the plant to grow vertically. This increases usable space in the greenhouse or field and exposes more leaves to sunlight.

Strength and Durability

This twine is rated for 46 kg tear strength, so it holds even when plants are heavy with fruit. The black colour and built‑in UV protection help it resist sun damage, lasting through a full growing season and beyond.

How to Use It

Install a trellis wire or netting above the crop row. Cut the twine to length, usually from the base of the plant up to the overhead wire.

Tie the twine loosely around the plant stem near the ground, then wrap it around the plant as it grows, or use clips.

The twine can also be used for the basket‑weave method for tomatoes, where horizontal strings run between plants.
