Product Description
Sealing the End of a Threaded Line
A threaded end cap screws onto a male‑threaded pipe end or fitting, sealing it shut. Unlike a glue‑on cap, it can be removed later if the line needs to be extended or cleaned out.
It is a practical fitting for irrigation systems where a branch may be added in the future or where temporary isolation is required.
Common Uses on the Farm
Farmers use threaded caps to close off unused outlets on manifolds, seal the end of a threaded lateral line, or provide a clean‑out point on a mainline.
They also appear at the end of sprinkler risers that are not in use, allowing the system to be pressurised without water escaping.

Installation
Wrap PTFE tape around the male threads of the pipe or fitting.
Screw the cap on by hand until snug, then use a strap wrench or suitable tool for a final quarter‑turn.
Do not overtighten, as PVC threads can crack. The cap can be removed later with the same tools.
