Product Description
What a Reducing Bush Does
A reducing bush is designed to be glued into a larger socket fitting, reducing the opening to a smaller pipe size.
Instead of using a full‑length reducing coupling, the bush fits inside an existing socket, such as inside a tee, elbow, or coupling. This keeps the pipe layout compact and reduces the number of joints in a system.
Practical Use on the Farm
In irrigation, reducing bushes are handy when modifying an existing line. If a mainline needs to branch into a smaller lateral, a bush can be glued directly into a tee socket rather than installing a separate reducing coupling.
They are also used at the inlet of filters or valves that have larger female threads, allowing a smaller pipe to connect cleanly.

Installation

Push the bush fully into the socket, aligning it squarely.
Once set, the smaller pipe can be glued into the bush’s inner socket. Allow adequate curing time before pressurising.
