Product Description
Transitioning from Pipe to Threaded Equipment
A female adaptor gives a threaded port to a glued PVC pipe. The socket end bonds to the pipe with PVC solvent cement.
The female threads accept a male‑threaded component such as a valve, pump outlet, sprinkler head, or another threaded fitting. This makes it easy to connect and disconnect equipment without disturbing the rest of the pipework.
Where It’s Used in Irrigation
Farmers use female adaptors at pump connections, where the pump has a male outlet. They also appear at the inlet of pressure regulators, filters, and sprinkler risers.
In drip systems, they connect the mainline to a valve manifold that uses threaded valves.

Installation Guidance
Glue the socket end to the PVC pipe using PVC cement: high‑bodied ERA L‑5023 for larger diameters and medium‑bodied ERA 3011 for smaller.
Before installing the threaded component, wrap PTFE tape around the male threads or apply a thread sealant.
Hand-tighten plus one turn; avoid overtightening. The adaptor is designed for cold water irrigation applications.
