Product Description
The Basic Pipe Connector
A coupling is the most straightforward PVC fitting; it simply joins two pipes end‑to‑end. The inside has a stop in the center so each pipe seats at the correct depth. This ensures a full bond and helps prevent blockages from pipes meeting unevenly.
When to Use It
Couplings are used to extend a pipe run, repair a broken section by cutting out the damage and splicing in a new piece, or connect two prefabricated pipe assemblies.
In irrigation systems, they appear anywhere a straight pipe needs to be lengthened or repaired without changing direction.

Installation
Cut both pipe ends square and remove burrs.
Mark the insertion depth on each pipe (typically the full depth of the coupling socket).
Apply PVC solvent cement to the pipe ends and the inside of the coupling.
Insert one pipe until it hits the center stop, then insert the second pipe. Hold each joint for a few seconds. Allow at least 15 minutes of cure time before pressurizing.
