Product Description

What It Does

This fitting is both a connector and a valve. It joins two 16mm PE pipes end to end. The colored handle on top controls water flow. Turn it one way to open, the other way to close. Use it to shut off a single drip line without affecting the rest of the system.

This is useful for zone control in greenhouses, nurseries, or large gardens.

Installation

Push one 16mm PE tube onto the barbed end on one side of the valve. Push the other tube onto the opposite side.

The valve body has a lock nut that you can tighten by hand for a more secure fit. Do not use tools on the lock nut; hand tight is enough. Overtightening can crack the nut.

Before installing, check that the handle turns freely. The valve has a directional arrow on the body. Install it so the arrow points in the direction of water flow. If you install it backwards, the valve may still work, but the pressure rating may be affected.

Operation

Turn the handle clockwise (right) to close the valve and stop flow. Turn counter‑clockwise (left) to open fully.

The valve is designed for on/off use, not for throttling (partially open). Running the valve half open for long periods can damage the internal seal. Open it all the way or close it all the way.

Pressure and Leaks

The valve is rated for drip irrigation pressures, typically up to 3 bar (about 45 PSI). Do not use it on high pressure mains.

If the valve leaks around the handle stem, the internal O‑ring may be dry or damaged. Turn the handle back and forth a few times to reseat the seal. If leaking continues, replace the valve.
