What PCJ Means
PCJ stands for Pressure Compensating with a self‑flushing jet design. Inside the dripper, a silicone diaphragm adjusts to changes in water pressure.
Whether the line is at the start or far end, on a slope or flat ground, each dripper puts out the same amount of water. This is critical for large fields, orchards, or any layout where plants are not all at the same level.
Fixed Flow vs Adjustable
-
Fixed flow (non‑adjustable) – Each dripper delivers a set rate, for example 2, 4, 8, or 16 litres per hour. Choose the rate that matches your crop’s water needs. All drippers in the line will output exactly that amount.
-
Adjustable – The top cap turns, letting you increase or decrease flow from a low drip up to a higher rate. Useful when different plants in the same row have different water requirements, or when you are still figuring out the right amount.
Both versions have the same pressure compensating and self‑flushing features. The only difference is whether the flow rate is fixed at the factory or controlled by the user.
Where to Use It
Fruit trees (mango, avocado, citrus, passion fruit), tree nurseries, large container plants, bananas, and any spaced planting where uniform water delivery matters. The dripper can sit on the surface or be buried for subsurface irrigation.
Installation
Punch a hole in a 16mm or 12mm mainline. Push the barb firmly into the hole. For plants farther away, attach a length of 4/7 mm tubing to the dripper outlet.
If using the adjustable version, turn the cap to the desired flow. Run the system and check a few drippers to confirm output.
Working Pressure
Typical range is 1.5 to 4 bar (confirm with Irrihub for the specific batch). Within this range, pressure compensation keeps flow steady.
