In most farm layouts, a single straight water line is not enough to reach every row. This three-way equal tee allows you to split your main water supply line into two different directions at a perfect 90-degree angle.
With these tees, you can easily create lateral lines for drip irrigation, rain hoses, or sprinkler systems, ensuring water is evenly distributed across your entire plot.
How It Works and Materials
While this product is commonly known as an HDPE fitting because it connects to HDPE pipes, the body and nuts are actually made of high-grade Polypropylene (PP). This material is chosen for its rigidity, which is necessary to maintain a strong mechanical seal.
Unlike the flexible pipe, the fitting body must remain stiff so the internal O-ring can stay perfectly in place under pressure. Internally, the fitting uses a Polyacetal (POM) clinching ring (split ring) that bites into the pipe to prevent pull-outs, along with an NBR rubber O-ring that creates a watertight barrier.
Because the materials are chemically inert, these tees are fully compatible with fertigation systems, allowing you to pump liquid fertilizers through your lines without worrying about corrosion.

Installation and Compatibility
To ensure your system remains leak-free at a full PN16 pressure rating, proper installation is key. Always use a pipe cutter to make a square cut on the end of your HDPE pipe. This allows the pipe to sit flush against the internal stopper of the tee.
While smaller sizes can often be hand-tightened for initial assembly, you should use a standard fitting wrench to provide the final torque for sizes 40mm and above. This mechanical tightening is a recognized best practice to ensure the internal split ring is properly engaged to hold 16 bar of pressure. These fittings are optimized for use with PE80 and PE100 pipes across all standard pressure ratings.
