Product Description

What It Holds in an Irrigation System

A G clamp is a straightforward tool. The screw‑type jaw opens and closes to grip an object against a fixed surface. In a farm irrigation setup, it is often used to secure a poly pipe or lay flat hose to a wooden post, metal pole, or greenhouse frame.

It can also hold drip tubing in place on raised beds or anchor a temporary line so it does not move when water pressure changes.

Where You Might Need One

  • Securing a mainline to a fence post along a field edge

  • Holding a hose in position while it fills a tank

  • Fixing a temporary sprinkler riser to a stake

  • Clamping a lay flat pipe to a trellis post to keep it off the ground

Installation Tips

Open the clamp fully, slide it around the pipe and the support structure, then tighten the screw until the clamp holds firmly without crushing the pipe.

Do not overtighten on soft polyethylene pipe; stop when the pipe is snug. The steel body can rust if left outdoors for years, so store clamps indoors when not in use, or use galvanised versions for permanent outdoor mounting.
