What It Is For
A valve middle connector is the piece that attaches a mini shut off valve to 4/7 mm micro tubing. The valve itself has two barbed ends or threaded ends. This connector bridges the valve to the tubing on both sides.
With the valve in place, you can turn water on or off to a single drip line, pot, or branch without affecting the rest of the system.
How It Works
The connector pushes onto the valve outlet on one end and the 4/7 mm tubing on the other end. Some designs have two identical connectors – one for each side of the valve.
Once installed, turning the valve handle opens or closes flow to that specific line. This is useful for spot watering, isolating a plant that needs less water, or shutting off a line for maintenance.
Where You Use It
- Greenhouses with individual pot watering; each pot gets its own valve.
- Nurseries where different benches need separate control.
- Garden beds where some plants require different watering schedules.
Installation
Push the connector onto the valve barb. Push the 4/7 mm tubing into the other end of the connector. Repeat for the opposite side of the valve. No tools or glue. To remove, twist and pull.
