Water flows through the mainline. When it hits the narrow section, it speeds up. When a fluid speeds up, its pressure drops. You connect a tube from a fertiliser tank to that inlet. The suction pulls liquid fertiliser into the water stream. That is applying fertiliser through the irrigation system. Drip systems are perfect for this. They are ideal for small and medium farms. You want clean water going through the venturi. That arrow must point in the direction of water flow. The other end of the tube goes into your fertiliser tank. The tank should be at ground level. It can be lower than the venturi, but not higher. If the tank is higher, gravity may push fertiliser into the line even when the system is off.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"ds-markdown-paragraph\"\u003e\u003cspan\u003eInstall a valve on the suction tube. This valve lets you control the injection rate. Open it more for faster injection. Let the venturi run for a few minutes. Check the colour of the water at the end of the drip line. If the colour is too strong, close the valve a little. Then close the suction valve. Let clean water run for another 30 minutes to flush the system. However, the narrow section can get blocked by debris. Also check that the suction tube is not kinked. Make sure the fertiliser tank has enough liquid.
