It blocks the opening. Water cannot escape. Every drop stays inside the hose and exits only through the spray holes along the length.

Without a cap, water pours out the far end. Your pressure drops. Plants near the end get almost no water. The cap fixes that.

Where You Use It

Rain hose is also called micro spraying tape. It waters farm plants or young trees. The hose has small holes along its length. Water sprays out in a fine mist or small jets.

You use the end cap at the far end of every rain hose run. One cap per line. It is common in vegetable gardens, greenhouses, flower beds, and vineyards.

Installation

Cut the rain hose end square. Use a sharp knife. A crooked cut can make the cap hard to push on.

If the hose is stiff, warm the end in the sun for a few minutes. Or dip it in hot water for a few seconds. Soft hose is easier to work with.

Push the cap onto the hose end. Push until it bottoms out. That is about 15 to 20mm of hose inside the cap. No glue, no clamps, no threads.

To remove, twist the cap while pulling.
