A kink stops water flow. You need to turn the corner and run down the next side. Put an elbow at the corner. Run the hose straight from the pump to the elbow. Then from the elbow to the field. A tree, a building, a rock. Water slows down slightly at the bend. For most irrigation systems, the effect is small. Use gentle bends in the hose if you can. The grip is strong enough for normal pressures.
